Franklin Synergy adds Brentwood SVP

Veteran commercial lender makes move from BancorpSouth

Franklin Synergy Bank has recruited a veteran commercial banker to its Brentwood operations.

Chris Marchetti has joined Franklin Synergy as senior vice president and commercial banker and will focus on Brentwood, where he was worked for The Community Bank, Premier Bank and BancorpSouth. He began his banking career in 1988 at Dominion Bank in Nashville.

"Chris is a trusted banker for the many clients he has served over the years," said Franklin Synergy President Richard Herrington. "With more than 20 years of banking experience in the local market, Chris will be a tremendous asset to Franklin Synergy."

Marchetti's move is the second recent prominent loss for BancorpSouth, which also has had to say goodbye to a seven-member construction lending team that jumped to FirstBank.

Marchetti is a Nashville native and a graduate of Belmont University and the Tennessee Bankers Association Southeastern School of Commercial Lending. He is active in the community through the Knights of Columbus, Bellevue Sports Athletic Association and St. Henry School in Nashville, where he serves as youth football and basketball coach. He also serves on the board of Nashville Catholic Wrestling.

"He is a well recognized name in the banking community in Brentwood," said Kay Waller, Franklin Synergy’s Brentwood city president. "We have known each other for years and his addition to our team in Brentwood bodes well for us."

Marchetti will soon make the move with his new colleagues from Thoroughbred Drive to a site near the nearby Town Center roundabout. The bank's mortgage team now housed in the CityPark development on Franklin Road also will relocate next month.
