Aegis Health Group names new CEO

Ex-Artemis/digiChart leader joins population health company

Aegis Health Group announced today it has selected Phillip Suiter as CEO. Suiter will assume the role currently served by Lori Copeland, co-founder and chief financial officer of the business development strategy and population health management company.

"Phil is an accomplished leader whose vision and expertise are perfectly suited to guide Aegis as we support hospitals' efforts to improve population health and build financial strength," Mike Barton, chairman of Aegis' board of directors, said in a release. "He is uniquely and highly qualified having served as a top executive for several noteworthy health care and technology companies. We are delighted to have someone with his breadth of experience assume this important role."

Suiter stepped down in January as CEO and president of OB/GYN electronic medical record provider Artemis Health Group, which had previously been known as digiChart. Before that, he led Transaction Tracking Technologies, Gordian Health Solutions, Stinger Medical and NotifyMD as well as serving in several leadership roles at Vanderbilt University.

"As an industry pioneer, Aegis Health Group led the way in population health management long before the phrase gained popularity," Suiter said. "I am excited about the opportunity to work closely with Aegis' dedicated team of professionals in delivering measurable revenue-growth solutions to hospitals and health systems across the country."

Suiter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and his master's program has a focus on business management from Murray State University.
