New GM for Listening Room Cafe

Downtown venue also adds front of house manager

The Listening Room Cafe owner Chris Blair has announced the hiring of General Manager Dusty Barker and Front of House Manager Tina Payton.

Barker moved to Nashville in 2012 to work in digital marketing at Vision Entertainment. Previously, he  had been a recruiter for the University of Missouri. Payton, pictured on the right, has served in a management capacity at Atlanta’s Punchline comedy club and has worked closely with songwriters in the Nashville area.

“It’s great to have Dusty and Tina on The Listening Room team,” Blair said. “Their passion for creating the best possible guest experience as well as their shared love for the songwriting community make them the perfect staff additions.”

The Listening Room Cafe was founded in 2006 in Franklin and relocated to Cummins Station in 2008. Blair moved the operation again when the former Luau Louie's space on Second Avenue South opened up in 2012. After six months of renovations, the new Listening Room opened in February of last year.
