Youth sports league franchise i9 Sports announced today it will soon open company-owned locations in Brentwood and Murfreesboro.
Riverview, Fla.-based i9 Sports Corp. did not disclose in a release the cost of getting the locations operational. However, it will begin its local efforts by hiring two program managers and, in the fall, add 30 to 40 employees to operate the two leagues. The two offices will be the company's first in Tennessee.
On its website, i9 bill itself as having more than 600,000 members participating in 500 communities.
Specifically, i9 Sports offers leagues, camps and clinics for girls and boys 3-14 in various popular team sports, including flag football, soccer, basketball and baseball.
“i9 Sports offers an alternative to the hyper-competitive, win-at-all-cost culture that pervades most youth sports programs today,” Brian Sanders, i9 Sports president and chief operating officer, said in a release. “We offer customers an experience that focuses on fun, safety, and convenience as well as the opportunity to learn the value of good sportsmanship.”
