PearlPoint adds development executive

Director formerly ran agencies in Wyoming, South Dakota

PearlPoint Cancer Support has recruited a nonprofit executive from the Great Plains to be its director of development.

Suzanne Zutter comes to PearlPoint, the former Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation, after working as executive director of both the United Way of Southwest Wyoming and the Sioux Falls Humane Society. Zutter has more than 20 years of experience in annual fundraising, major gifts, corporate, foundation and grant writing. She earned a graduate degree in management with an emphasis in conflict resolution from Hamline University and a bachelor’s degree in business and human relations from St. Cloud State University.

PearlPoint also has recently hired Jan Harrison as executive assistant and Emily Hogan and Margaret Martin as nutrition educators. The hires come after the organization last year rebranded and unveiled an online portal to help cancer patients access information, guidance and various support services.

“With the launch of My PearlPoint we have been able to assist even more adults impacted by cancer,” said Susan Hosbach, president and CEO of PearlPoint. “I have no doubt that the expertise and talents we’ve added to our team will continue to further our mission to create a more confident cancer journey for adults anytime, anywhere.”
