Men's apparel retailer Allen Edmonds takes Hill Center space

Long-standing shoemaking company to operate from former Five Guys location

H.G. Hill Realty Co. announced today it has secured a lease at its the Hill Center Green Hills with venerable men's apparel retailer Allen Edmonds.

The men's dress and shoes store will operate from 1,680 square feet at the center in the bulk of the space most recently vacated by Five Guys Burgers and Fries.

Terms of the lease were not disclosed in a release.

Established in Belgium, Wis., in 1922 and operating in multiple states, Allen Edmonds is one of four American shoemaking companies that crafts its shoes in the states.

“We are very excited to have a store in Nashville,” Paul Grangaard, Allen Edmonds president and CEO, said in the release. “The Allen Edmonds offering is a perfect fit for Hill Center Green Hills.”

The Hill Center store will be Allen Edmonds’ first in the Nashville market. However, the company has multiple retail partners in the area, including nearby Dillard’s at The Mall at Green Hills.

Allen Edmonds is anticipating a September opening, making Nashville the retailer's 49th global location.

"We welcome Allen Edmonds to Hill Center Green Hills and agree they are a good addition to our mix of locally owned specialty stores and nationally recognized retailers," Hill Realty CEO Jimmy Granbery said.

Hill Realty is exploring options to re-tenant the remaining 1,125 square feet of the space last home to Five Guys.

The Hill Center is a 220,000-square-foot  mixed-use retail center.
