Modular builder adding 27 jobs

$5M Goodlettsville project expected to wrap up in August

Allied Modular Building Systems plans to hire 27 people in the coming months as it expands its Goodlettsville operations.

California-based Allied Modular is investing $5.1 million in a new plant on Oak Bluff Lane that will serve the Midwest, South and Northeast as well as Eastern Canada. The company manufactures panelized wall systems that are used for modular offices, wall partitions and guard houses, among other things. The company's other production facility is in Orange, Calif.

Allied Modular, which has worked for Facebook, Nike and FedEx among others, expects to complete construction work in August. The company has hired The Carden Co. to handle the 95,000-square-foot project.

“We take pride in the fact that our company has seen continued growth each year,” said Allied Modular President Kevin Peithman. “Even during our most recent recession, Allied Modular continued to grow and expand. We will continue to change the minds of people on how they look at construction and are excited for what the future holds for modular construction.”
