Vanderbilt University has added two people to its investment management team. Both Brandon Baker and Natasha Cupps have joined the group run by Vice Chancellor and Chief Investment Officer Anders Hall as investment managers of public markets.
Baker focuses on hedge funds and has come to Vanderbilt from the University of Florida Investment Corp. He is a graduate of that school’s Warrington College of Business.
Cupps will focus her work on public equities. She previously worked at Dimensional Fund Advisors in Austin, Texas. Cupps graduated from the Red McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri.
Vanderbilt’s $4 billion endowment puts its money to work in traditional and alternative investments, including real estate, public equities, hedge funds and private-market investments. Hall, a former Duke University money manager, was named last summer to succeed Matthew Wright.
