Franklin Synergy names two to EVP posts

Booming lender also lures mortgage pros from Metropolitan

Franklin Synergy Bank has promoted both CFO Sally Kimble and Chief Retail Officer David McDaniel to executive vice president.

Kimble, at left, joined the Franklin Synergy team in April 2012 as assistant CFO. Her resume includes helping lead American Bank & Trust of the Cumberlands in Cookeville, where she was COO and CFO. She also has worked at First Bank & Trust in Mt. Juliet and the former Capital Bank & Trust.

McDaniel joined Franklin Synergy in April 2011 as senior VP of Franklin Synergy Investment Management and was promoted to chief retail officer in July 2012. He now oversees the six-year-old bank’s retail lenders as well as its investment management group.

Bank President Richard Herrington said McDaniel “has been instrumental in penetrating our existing market to grow our bank as we increase our geographic footprint” — with the recently announced acquisition of MidSouth Bank — and lauded Kimble as having “played a critical role during a period of significant growth.”

Separately, Franklin Synergy execs said they've hired mortgage originators Beth Besch and Michael Dorris Jr. (on the right) from Metropolitan Bank. Dorris, who had led the mortgage group at Metropolitan since moving from The Bank of Nashville in the spring of 2012, also has been named assistant VP and will be based in Brentwood. He is a six-time recipient of the Nashville Mortgage Bankers Association’s Platinum Award for annual loan production of at least $20 million.

Besch had been a mortgage loan processor at Metropolitan and has more than 25 years of experience in origination, underwriting and appraisal management. She also has worked at Reliant Bank in Brentwood and Franklin American Mortgage in Cool Springs.
