Vanderbilt names associate vice chancellor for alumni relations

Academic industry official arrives from University of Arkansas

Vanderbilt University has named Graham Stewart associate vice chancellor for alumni relations. 

Stewart arrives from the University of Arkansas, at which he served as associate vice chancellor for alumni relations and executive director of the Arkansas Alumni Association. As CEO in charge of alumni programs and activities at the UofA, Stewart served more than 135,000 alumni and 26,000 dues-paying members.

Stewart previously led alumni associations at Ithaca College, the University at Buffalo and Ohio University. 

In addition to a career in higher education, Stewart is a musician. He was a member of the Grammy-awarding-winning vocal ensemble The Gregg Smith Singers, has performed multiple operatic musical theatre roles, and is an active jazz trombonist and vocalist.

Stewart received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in music and a Master of Science degree in communications, both from Ithaca College.
