Medhost creates new leadership role for services division

Health care IT group formalizes leadership structure after rebranding

Franklin-based Medhost Inc. announced today it has named Lionel Tehini as president of the company's professional services division.

In his new role, Tehini will oversee and lead the company's managed IT services, Medhost Direct, as well as a suite of hospital outsourcing and consulting services to improve patient care, efficiency and financial performance.

"Lionel's entrepreneurial experience makes him a great fit for expanding upon our already robust suite of services," said Bill Anderson, Medhost's chairman and CEO, in a release.

The position is a new one for Medhost as it formalizes the leadership structure of Medhost Professional Services following last month's rebranding and a consolidation of products and services. Formerly HealthTech Holdings, the company rebranded and named Craig Herrod as president.

Tehini joined the company in 2012 when HealthTech acquired Acuitec, an integrated preoperative solutions provider that he founded and led as CEO.

"The primary goal of MEDHOST Professional Services is to help customers control costs, manage and improve efficiencies and enhance patient and staff satisfaction," Tehini said. "I'm excited about my new role and am eager to take MEDHOST's service offerings to the next level."
