Baker Donelson recruits BABC veteran

Corporate attorney specializes in health care financing deals

Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz has recruited a health care finance specialist from Bradley Arant Boult Cummings.

Andrea Barach comes to Baker Donelson as a shareholder and a member of the firm's business department. She spent three decades at Bradley Arant and its predecessor, Boult Cummings Conners & Berry. A major component of her practice involves working on financing deals with long-term care providers through FHA-insured loan programs, tax-exempt bonds and other types of financing. She also has worked extensively on acquisitions and dispositions of hospitals, nursing homes, behavioral health facilities and entire companies.

"Andrea is a highly respected and experienced corporate attorney and we are pleased to welcome her to Baker Donelson," said Scott Carey, managing shareholder of Baker Donelson's Nashville office. "We are confident that her arrival, along with our recent tax and real estate additions, will enhance our business department and greatly benefit our clients."

The downtown office of Baker Donelson is home to almost 100 attorneys. In all, the firm runs 20 offices and has more than 650 lawyers and public policy advisors.
