Officials with Smyrna-based TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center today announced Drew Tyrer as chief operating officer.
Tyrer (pictured) most recently served as associate chief operating officer of Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Ga.
“We are excited to welcome Drew to our team and the community,” Mark Sims, chief executive officer of TriStar StoneCrest, said in a release. “His healthcare leadership experience and passion for making a difference in the lives of others will be a tremendous benefit for our patients and local residents.”
Tyrer earned his bachelor’s degree in sport administration from University of Dayton and his master’s degree, also in sport administration, from the University of Louisville.
Tyrer later earned a master’s degree in health care administration and a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University. He is also a graduate of HCA’s Chief Operating Officer Development Program.
TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, which is part of Brentwood-based TriStar Health (a division of HCA), is a 109-bed facility offering emergency care, general surgery, cardiology, obstetrics, intensive care, physical medicine, outpatient diagnostic services and cancer care.
