New event space on Rutledge Hill

Powell has the $450,000 contract to add 2,831 square feet to an existing 2,026-square-foot two-story building (pictured) located at 45 Lindsley on Rutledge Hill. The former Victorian home will be converted to The Cordelle, an event space.

More than just a cornerstone for Cornerstone

Madison's Cornerstone Church will build a 77,761-square-foot addition and rehab an existing three-story education building, two-story family life center and two-story sanctuary. The project totals $13.7 million from Hardaway.

Rose Park grows

Messer will conduct a $6.7 million renovation at Rose Park Middle School.

Capitol spending

Hardaway has numerous contracts to rehab the first floor of the State Capitol and a subterranean parking lot. As part of a $100,000 contract, Hardaway will replace 52 interior doors and their hardware. A separate $396,000 contract will allow for updates to security and safety equipment in the parking deck.

Stoney River spruce

Baron + Dowdle has the $500,000 contract to rehab interior spaces at West End Avenue's Stoney River Restaurant.

From vinyl to cleaners to Ken's

Ken's Sushi will move into 923 Main Street after a self-permitted $12,000 fix-up. The space was most recently a dry cleaner, but maintains the architectural character of its time as the home of independent TRJ Records.
