J. Alexander’s said longtime financial executive Mark Parkey has taken over the CFO post from Greg Lewis, who retired during the second quarter.
The 50-year-old Parkey joined J. Alexander’s — which is now under the umbrella of Fidelity National Financial — in early 1993 and was most recently its controller. Before joining the company, he worked at Ernst & Young and accounting firm Steele Carter & Martin in Jackson, Tenn.
“We are extremely pleased to announce Mark’s promotion to his new senior management duties,” said President and CEO Lonnie Stout. “Mark has also been a valuable member of the senior management team participating in the transaction with Fidelity National Financial.”
Lewis, 60, had been with J. Alexander’s since 1984 and its CFO since mid-1986. Word of his exit and the appointment of Parkey comes about a month after the company said Vice President Mike Moore had been named its first COO.
The J. Alexander’s holding company runs 30 restaurants in 12 states under that brand name and another 10 Stoney River Legendary Steaks in six states.
