Big hospital chain contract for SpecialtyCare

Adventist deal covers 40+ sites

Clinical services venture SpecialtyCare has been given preferred-provider status by Adventist Health System, a hospital chain with more than 40 facilities from Florida to Colorado.

Adventist’s 43 member hospitals have contracted with SpecialtyCare for the company’s range of services, which include neuromonitoring, perfusion, surgical assistance and sterile processing.

“Adventist Health System is focused on decreasing variability and improving quality outcomes by reporting on key quality metrics,” said Celeste West, vice president of supply chain management at Adventist. “SpecialtyCare can help identify, report and benchmark established best practices in the clinical services they provide. We have aligned with SpecialtyCare to offer consistency in quality and cost to our member hospitals.”

SpecialtyCare employees work side by side with surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses in the operating rooms of more than 820 hospitals around the company. The West End-based company also provides related supplies, equipment, maintenance and support systems.
