Upgrades at the Hilton, a new police precinct, school construction, and more...

Keeping up with the new crowd

The downtown Hilton will get $10 million in guest room upgrades and a $1 million facelift for the lounge and fitness center. Winter Construction has both projects.

Central starting

Clark Construction will build the much-discussed 11,580-square-foot Metro Police Department Central Precinct (pictured) to be located at the southwest corner of the Korean Veterans Boulevard and Sixth Avenue South intersection. The project totals $1.6 million.

Rolling Mill build

Solomon was issued a $13.2 million to build a two-level parking garage topped by five floors of apartments — 102 units worth — on Rolling Mill Hill. In addition, Solomon was issued another $4 million in finish-out permits for the project. Atlanta-based SWH Residential Partners is serving as developer, with Principal Real Estate Investors to be the building’s owner. Read more here and see some images here.
