Soon-to-be-former Tractor Supply home to go on the block

Pair of Maryland Farms properties being auctioned online

As Tractor Supply prepares to move to a new headquarters, its current home base is heading for online auction.

Auctions.com will put the 98,049-square-foot Financial Plaza home of Tractor Supply up for bid in August. Another Maryland Farms property — the 98,656-square-foot Westpark building at 111 Westwood Place — will also go on the block that day. The Westpark building, pictured below, is home to the headquarters of Brookdale Senior Living as well as offices for Commercial Insurance Associates.

Both buildings are at 100 percent occupancy and both are owned by Prudential Insurance. The auction website is taken indicative bids until July 29.

Financial Plaza, built in 1987, is appraised at $11.8 million. Westpark was built in 1982 and is appraised at $11.7 million. Prudential paid $9.45 million for Financial Plaza in 1997 and $8.25 million for Westpark in 1995.

The new, 260,000-square-foot Tractor Supply HQ broke ground late last year and is set to open next summer.
