Digital Reasoning attracts product execs

Duo coming from OpenText, Avistar

Local software company Digital Reasoning has added two seasoned enterprise software executives to grow the Nashville-based company’s commercial market presence.

Marten den Haring, pictured, has been named senior vice president of products and will lead Digital Reasoning’s product strategy, management and marketing efforts, specifically around its Synthesys machine learning platform. A former vice president for information discovery and analytics at global player OpenText in Canada, den Haring also will develop the company’s alliances. He and his family will move to Nashville so that he can assume his duties.

Separately, Stephen Epstein is joining Digital’s leadership team as VP of product marketing. Most recently, Epstein worked as vice president and CMO for Avistar Communications. He has more than 20 years experience in various IT roles at financial institutions and will be based in New York City, where he resides with his wife and two sons.

"Marten and Stephen bring incredible expertise to our team at precisely the right time — as we are scaling the organization to serve a rapidly growing customer base," Rob Metcalf, Digital’s president and COO said in a statement. "We will build on our success in the national security arena to deliver high quality software solutions for compliance and risk management in Financial Services. The demand is strong for technology that analyzes electronic communications to improve the effectiveness of existing surveillance and investigative capabilities, and we have assembled a team capable of leading a new wave of innovation in the market."
