Ex-Gaylord official to operate area's Express Oil Change facilities

Spring Hill locale slated for unveiling this month

Former Gaylord Opryland Executive Vice President and COO Jay Sevigny plans to open five Express Oil Change & Service Center locales, including a Spring Hill facility this month, during the next three to five years.

Sevigny has signed a multi-unit development agreement with Express Oil for the Nashville market. Terms of the deal were not disclosed in a release. The Spring Hill facility, to be operational on June 17, will be Sevigny’s second Express Oil Change location, joining an existing Cool Springs store he purchased in July 2012.

“Since taking ownership of the Cool Springs location last summer, we’ve grown [revenues] 30 percent year to date,” said Sevigny. “We’re up 50 percent this month alone. With our commitment to customer satisfaction, an experienced team in place and the growing demand for high quality, efficient car care services in the area, I expect the Spring Hill location to take off just as well.”

Sevigny, who spent 15 years with Harrah’s Casinos as division president and once worked with Video Gaming Technologies, said he has plans to open his third area location in early 2014.

“We currently have land under contract for a property in Nashville,” he said. “And if all goes well, our third location will open early next year.”
