SSRCx hires industry vet to oversee building enclosure commissioning

Newcomer arrives from Architectural Testing

SSRCx has hired Richard “Rick” Ziegler to extend the company’s service line to include building enclosure commissioning.

Ziegler, a title for which SSRCx did not provide in a release, comes to SSRCx with five years of experience providing building enclosure services. Most recently he was a regional office manager for Architectural Testing, Inc. His work on various projects, including hospitals and medical centers, government buildings, data centers, museums, educational facilities and libraries, has given him experience with all major building enclosure systems.

Ziegler (pictured) has a degree in engineering physics from Juniata College in Pennsylvania.

“Building enclosure commissioning is a rapidly expanding section of our offerings, and one that we have had to utilize a sub-consultant,” Mike Coyne, senior principal for SSRCx, said in explaining Ziegler's hiring.

SSRCx is the facilities commissioning and sustainability consulting branch of Nashville-based Smith Seckman Reid, Inc.
