CMT has brought on board a veteran media researcher to help guide its show development and programming initiatives.
Justin Wyatt joins Nashville-based CMT as vice president of consumer insights and research, a new post at the television network. He was most recently at NBCUniversal, where he was VP of primary research and helped lead research projects for the E!, Style, G4 and FEARnet networks as well as some digital properties.
“We talked to many of the brightest minds in Research about this position,” said CMT President Brian Philips. “The sheer range and depth of Justin’s knowledge and experience in television research is stunning. He’ll provide essential guidance for the network as we continue to grow.”
Wyatt, who recently moved to Nashville from Los Angeles, is based out of CMT’s headquarters downtown and will work with Viacom Media Network’s New York-based research team. Before his time at NBCUniversal, Wyatt was a senior research consultant for the Hypothesis Group. He also spent four years at the ABC Television Network, where he was VP of research, and worked in Frank N. Magid Associates’ Entertainment Division.
