New CEO at PharmMD

Co-founder of medication management venture staying on as president

Veteran local health executive Bob Yeager has been named CEO of PharmMD, the medication therapy manager. Co-founder Bo Bartholomew has stepped aside from the top spot but will continue as president of the company.

Yeager, left, has about four decades of leadership experience in the Middle Tennessee market, having been CFO of Quorum Health Group, president and CEO of OrthoLink and chairman of Attentus Healthcare. Most recently, he helped Marty Rash launch American Pathology Partners in 2008 and was that company's CEO early on.

Bartholomew, right, launched PharmMD seven years ago with about $200,000 in backing from local angel investors. In 2009, the company secured $8.8 million in funding from private equity investors The Riverside Company and FCA Venture Partners IV.
