Burger Republic officials — almost a year to the day of opening their first eatery — announced today plans to open this fall a second location in the first-floor level of Pine Street Flats in The Gulch.
Terms of the lease are not being disclosed.
The restaurant, the flagship of which is located in Lenox Village Town Center in southern Davidson County, specializes in gourmet burgers, American craft beers and hand-dipped milkshakes. That Burger Republic opened on May 23, 2012.
“We opened our first location last year and had an outpouring of support from the community,” Drew Jackman, who partnered with another industry veteran, Jeff Warne, to create Burger Republic, said in a release. “We are excited to open in the heart of The Gulch and bring our quality burgers and beverages to a whole new area of Nashville.”
Jay Turner, managing director of Gulch master developer MarketStreet Enterprises, said Burger Republic’s local roots and creative concept make it “an ideal fit” for the fast-changing mixed-use urban district. MarketStreet is the developer of Pine Street Flats.
“Burger Republic’s high quality, innovative menu offers exactly the type of experience people expect when they come to The Gulch,” Turner said. “Our community is thrilled to welcome Burger Republic, and we have no doubt that their presence will further enhance what is already a vibrant dining scene.”
To commemorate its anniversary, Burger Republic on Thursday, May 23, will donate 20 percent of revenues to The One Fund, which has been established to assist those impacted by the Boston Marathon bombing.
