Nashville-based restaurateur Chris Hyndman announced today he will open by early fall The Rosewall, an event venue that will be the latest addition to McGavock Street (a.k.a. M Street) in The Gulch.
The Rosewall — to be housed in a 1930s warehouse — is located at 1120 McGavock St. next to Hyndman’s Virago and across the street from his Whiskey Kitchen and Kayne Prime.
The facility will be available for weddings and receptions, corporate events, banquets and fashion shows. In addition, The Rosewall can host music performances and parties for up to 1,000 attendees.
Hyndman (pictured), who serves as founding partner and president of MStreet Entertainment Group, teaming with developer and business partner Jim Caden, said in release he expects The Rosewall to distinguish itself in the event and venue market with its “versatility, cutting-edge audio and video, and posh ‘lounge parlour’ environment complete with mezzanines that overlook the main floor.” The space will span about 10,000 square feet and can be divided, with the lounge parlour to be open to the public on nights not booked for a show or an event.
With its location on M Street, The Rosewall will provide event and concert attendees with the convenient cluster of MStreet restaurants to frequent before and/or after an event, Hyndman added.
The Rosewall connects to two additional MStreet concepts under construction and whose openings will be announced later this spring, Hyndman said. Previous media reports have focused on MStreet unveiling high-end Italian and Mexican restaurants.
