Local attorney named Lewis King president

20-year firm veteran has run Nashville office for almost two years

Defense litigation firm Lewis King Krieg and Waldrop has named local attorney Lisa Ramsay Cole president and managing shareholder.

Cole has been managing partner of the firm’s Nashville office since mid-2011 and will continue in that role. She has been with Lewis King for more than 20 years and works with clients on cases involving employment law, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice and general casualty defense.

“Lisa has a proven track record of leadership in our Nashville office,” said Richard Krieg, chairman of the board of Lewis King. “She has been very effective in her role and has received a vote of confidence from the shareholders. We are certain that under her leadership Lewis King will continue to grow and move forward.”

Cole joined Lewis King after her first year at the University of Tennessee College of Law. Prior to attending law school, she graduated cum laude from Bethel College with a bachelor’s degree in natural sciences.

“This appointment is a great honor for me,” said Cole. “Lewis King has provided me with a wealth of experience and direction during my professional career, and I am privileged to have the opportunity to give back to the firm through this leadership role.”

Lewis King is home to about 60 attorneys at offices in Knoxville, Nashville and Sevierville. The Nashville office comprises 27 lawyers.
