National marketing firm names new Nashville creative director

VP previously worked on P&G brands’ Walmart presence

Marketing services agency CatapultRPM has hired Andy Tyer to be vice president and creative director for its Nashville office.

In this role, Tyer will handle all creative for Nashville-area clients — which include Mars Petcare, Nutro and Chiquita— and oversee local designers, art directors and copywriters. He has joined CatapultRPM from Saatchi & Saatchi X in Springdale, Ark., where his team created in-store, out-of-store and digital shopper communications at Walmart for a number of Procter & Gamble brands.

“We are delighted to have Andy Tyer join us,” says Maura Priem, executive VP and group director for the local operation of CatapultRPM. “His creative instincts are a true balance of art and science. He’s a perfect fit with our own Art of Conversion approach, with a firm grounding in the right insights, a fresh and creative perspective, and solutions that deliver the brand conversions our clients seek.”

Tyer fills the spot vacated last year by Wade Hunt, who launched his own company after three years as creative director.

Before his time at Saatchi & Saatchi X, Tyer held senior copywriter and creative positions at advertising agencies in North Carolina, Hawaii and Montana, working with Kampgrounds of America, Hawaiian Airlines and Thomasville Furniture, among others.

Headquartered in Westport, Conn., CatapultRPM is home to more than 300 employees across 11 offices and is part of Epsilon, a global direct-to-consumer marketing company. It opened its local office in 2008 and two years later relocated to the Terrazzo tower in The Gulch.
