Remar Inc. has named Denise Hanley as director of information technology.
The announcement of Hanley's hire follows Remar's being named the U.S. distribution partner for Swisse Wellness of Australia, which the company announced in late March. (Read more here.) Hanley will oversee the Lebanon-based company’s IT department and will be responsible for all aspects of Remar’s secure information systems, network infrastructure and system administration, strategic planning and day-to-day IT operations.
Hanley previously worked at HCA and served as the chief data officer of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. Her 30-year career in management and information technology has included leadership roles in accounting, technology, warehousing and the health care industries. Prior to joining NASBA, she was an MIS project leader and supplier services systems manager with Cardinal Health/NSS. As a product manager for HCA, she played a pivotal role in the computerization of HCA international facilities located in Panama and the U.K.
“Denise brings with her a considerable depth of information technology knowledge and experience across a wide range of industries, and will be a great leader for our IT team as we continue our focus on initiatives that provide Best-in-Class service,” Dave White, Remar's CFO, said in a release.
Hanley earned an associate’s degree in electronic data processing from Nashville State Community College and a BS in management of Human Resources from Trevecca Nazarene University. She received her MBA from Lipscomb University. Hanley has also acquired formal training through AMA, IBM, Novell and Zenger Miller Frontline Leadership and holds a PMI certification in project management.
