Atiba lures Y's IT VP

Navy vet to oversee coding team at software shop

Atiba Software has hired veteran programmer Craig Anderson to be its chief architect.

Anderson comes Atiba from the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, where he served as vice president of information technology. He was also software/system architect and project management lead for membership tracking system, among other tasks. With 12 years of software development experience, Anderson can work in multiple platforms, operating systems and coding languages.

“Craig is not only an experienced programmer, but is an excellent manager and will help organize and allocate coding resources for most new and legacy projects,” said Paul Hickey, managing director of Cabedge Design, a sister company of Atiba Software. “Craig will help the Atiba family of companies become more organized and efficient on the programming side, which will help Cabedge and Atiba Software ultimately improve the quality of work we deliver to all clients [...] Craig will also help Atiba Network Services, as he's a skilled IT consultant and systems architect.”

Anderson, who had been with the Y since September 2007, also has been a software developer for New Century Technology, a machinist at Turner Machine Co. and a submarine nuclear propulsion plant operator in the U.S. Navy.
