Permit Patrol: 8 March 2013

Big tanks at Carlex, new cafe on West End, and more ...

Carlex tank work

Tomlin will install five above-ground nitrogen and hydrogen storage tanks at Carlex's facility at 7200 Centennial Blvd. The project comes in at $1.8 million.

Atmalogy is what now?

A self-permit for $16,000 was pulled to rehab 2320 West End Ave. for "Atmalogy," which is "a unique community meeting space…a place where people can come together in a shared space to learn & share & grow." According to the web site (which looks very nice), it will also include a cafe. The building for Atmalogy (seen here in this image courtesy of Google Maps) has, over the years, accommodated an assortment of businesses, with few having lasted long. It is located to the right of the structure that houses Chili's and to the left of the building from which "the Johns" — Jimmy and Papa — operate.
