Home sales up again in February

GNAR reports 18 percent uptick, median single-family price up 9%+

For the 18th straight month, home sales in Nashville have improved.

The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors reported 1,784 home closings in the month of February, an 18 percent increase over the same month in 2012. It was the strongest February for sales since 2008. Pending sales were also more than 2,000 for the first time since that month.

The median residential price for a single-family home during February was $175,000, up more than 9 percent from a year ago. The median condominium price was $138,473, which was down 4.5 percent from this time last year.
