Home sales in Nashville continue their improvement, having now seen gains for 18 straight months.
For example, the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors reported 1,784 home closings in February, an 18 percent increase over the same month in 2012. It was the strongest February for sales since 2008. Pending sales were also more than 2,000 for the first time since that month.
The median residential price for a single-family home during February was $175,000, up more than 9 percent from a year ago. The median condominium price was $138,473, which was down 4.5 percent from this time last year.
