Duo takes on employment, financial services posts

Butler Snow O’Mara Stevens & Cannada has called on Nashville-based attorneys Kara Shea and William O’Bryan Jr. to lead two of its practice groups. Shea is now the labor and employment practice group leader while O’Bryan has been named leader of the firm’s financial services litigation subgroup.

Shea focuses her work on employment training and counseling, employment litigation and labor and employment compliance counseling, among others. She completed her undergraduate education at Boston University and earned her law degree from Vanderbilt University.

O’Bryan is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation and banking, real estate and financial services groups. He focuses his practice on general litigation, banking law, business reorganization and creditors’ rights, professional liability defense, financial services and securities litigation. A graduate of Wabash College, he also earned his law degree from Vanderbilt.

“For Butler Snow, it’s important that we have broad leadership representation across many of our offices, and we are pleased that Kara and William have agreed to accept these new and important leadership responsibilities,” said Donald Clark Jr., chairman of Butler Snow, which is home to 250 attorneys in 13 offices.
