TriStar Centennial Women’s & Children’s Hospital names pediatric services director
Karen Good has been named director of pediatric services for TriStar Centennial Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
Good (pictured) will oversee the facility’s pediatric medical-surgical unit, the pediatric intensive care unit and the recently opened Kids Express outpatient services center.
Previously, Good served as manager of the pediatric emergency department and trauma center for Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where she also oversaw the opening of a satellite emergency department. Prior to that role, Good was the director of clinical services for pediatrics and the pediatric intensive care unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network in Allentown, Penn.
Good received her Master of Science degree in nursing and executive administration and her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, both from the University of South Alabama.
“Karen brings a wealth of clinical and leadership experience to our growing pediatric program,” Dr. Jeffrey Guy, chief medical officer of the pediatric program for Women’s & Children’s Hospital, said in a release. “We are thrilled to have her on board and look forward to her expertise as Nashville’s new choice for comprehensive pediatric care continues to evolve.”
