Local attorney creates Brentwood-based firm

Rose previously worked at Cornelius & Collins

Veteran local attorney Ben Rose announced today that he is founding The Law Offices of Ben M. Rose, to be located in Brentwood.

Rose was formerly a partner with Nashville-based Cornelius & Collins. Prior to that, Rose practiced law in Knoxville and worked in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.

Rose said his new firm will be a general practice, with an emphasis on representing small and medium Tennessee-based businesses in a variety of legal matters. He said the new practice will not be limited to litigation.

“One of the biggest problems I have encountered representing clients in lawsuits is that there were usually ways to prevent them long before they were filed,” Rose said in a release.

Rose noted that lawsuit avoidance can be accomplished through everything from proper business formation to government relations.

“These days there is a government component to just about everything we do,” Rose said. “I want to put my experience to use in order to better serve our clients. My wife and I are looking forward to this new opportunity.”

In addition to practicing law, Rose has taught law and paralegal students in association with the University of Tennessee. He is also the mock trial coach for Ravenwood High School in Brentwood.
