Local convenience store operator Tri Star Energy is looking to sell more than 20 of its properties around the region as it focuses on developing its new Twice Daily brand.
The planned sale, which was first reported by trade publication CSPnet.com, comprises 13 Shell-branded gas stations and convenience stores in the Nashville area — including locations on Gallatin Road, Murfreesboro Pike and Nolensville Pike — as well as two high-profile land parcels near Vietnam Veterans Boulevard in Hendersonville.
NRC Realty & Capital Advisors out of Chicago is handling the sealed-bid sale for Tri Star. Bids are due in early April.
Tri Star CEO and COO Steve Hostetter and his team are renovating many of their stores into the more upscale Twice Daily brand, which has more of a hospitality feel and offers more sandwich, salad and yogurt food choices. The strategy is similar to that of Brentwood-based Delek US Holdings, which has been investing millions to roll out a larger store format with a similar, more upscale feel.
