Carol Penterman, the former executive director of the Nashville Opera, has launched a new career as the franchisee of a health care staffing company.
Penterman's new Interim HealthCare venture covers Davidson, Rutherford and Williamson counties. Her move comes a few months after she last year left the opera, which she had led since 1995.
Florida-based Interim, which was founded in 1966, claims to be the country's oldest health care staffing franchisor. It now oversees more than 300 locations in 43 states.
"I am proud to be joining one of the nation's leading home care companies whose mission is to improve people's lives by providing personalized care, respect and dignity," said Penterman. "I look forward to serving the Middle Tennessee community and ensuring our clients live enriched, independent and safe lives."
