Greater Nashville Association of Realtors CEO Don Klein will step down at the end of the year.

In a statement, GNAR President Price Lechleiter said Klein (pictured) informed the board he will let his contract lapse when it expires.

"Don cites 'changing seasons' for he and his wife as the reason for his choice. They are making plans to be near family, manage their time somewhat differently and explore joint involvement in some community and ministry programs. He is not retiring," the statement reads, in part.

The GNAR Board of Directors will appoint a search committee for Klein's replacement.
