O'Charley's gets new president

Former Buca exec joined chain in 2010

The parent company of O'Charley's and J. Alexander's has named Mickey Mills president of the former as it kicks off a large rebranding and renovation plan.

Mills joined O'Charley's in September 2010 as vice president of operations after spending nearly 20 years at the Buca di Beppo chain. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management’s Executive Leadership Program.

"Mickey is a strong leader and has done a terrific job as we’ve implemented many positive changes in our restaurants," said Hazem Ouf, president and CEO of American Blue Ribbon Holdings, who had also been leading O'Charley's since last summer. "We look forward to enhancing O’Charley’s guest satisfaction under Mickey’s leadership."

O'Charley's late last year launched a brand overhaul that includes a revamped menu, new logo and updated restaurant decor. American Blue Ribbon will spend millions to renovate the chain's more than 200 locations over the next three years.
