Palmer unveils hotel plans for West End Summit
230-room hotel to sit atop parking garage
As of late Friday afternoon, no letter of intent had been signed. Nevertheless, developer Alex Palmer had some details to share about plans for a hotel to be positioned between the planned pair of office towers at his massive West End Summit project.
Through a spokeswoman, Palmer Properties confirmed that a 230-room luxury hotel to be run by the global InterContinental group will be built between the buildings to serve as headquarters for HCA subsidiaries Parallon and Sarah Cannon Research Institute.
If it materializes, the hotel will rise 11 stories on top of a six-story parking garage, making it roughly the same height as the 17- and 20-story HCA buildings.
