Counsel On Call brings on first CFO

Legal staffing firm hires ICA exec

Counsel On Call, the marketer of legal services to in-house departments and law firms, has hired the first CFO in its 13-year history.

Michael Webb has joined the firm from Informatics Corp. of America, the health care software venture spun out of Vanderbilt several years ago, where he was vice president of finance. Before his time at ICA, Webb was CFO and assistant treasurer at Capstone Government Solutions.

Webb will handle the strategic implementation and day-to-day managing of all financial-related activities of Counsel On Call, which is based in Maryland Farms and also has offices in Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Memphis and Dallas.

“Mike’s extensive experience in accurate and reliable financial management has proved his ability to steward Counsel On Call’s financial growth with precision and innovation as our first CFO,” said Dennis McKinnie, president of Counsel On Call. “His managerial expertise in creating processes for large organizations gives me great confidence that he will help Counsel On Call remain financially responsible as we grow.”

Webb earned a bachelor’s in accounting from Harding University and began his career at CPA giant Ernst & Young.

“I’m impressed with Counsel On Call’s success, and I feel the company’s current needs match my experience and the work I enjoy,” Webb said. “I look forward to adding my experience, creativity and enthusiasm to the Counsel On Call team and to helping the company continue to achieve its goals.”
