Ingram Barge Co. has promoted Robert Barker to senior vice president and chief information officer.

Before joining the local river transportation company, Barker served as director of information systems for a division of Manitowoc Companies in Shady Grove, Penn. He is an alumnus of Purdue University with a degree in computer integrated manufacturing. 

“Robert has been managing operations, budgets, and varied technological projects of the Information Services group since joining Ingram in 2010,” Craig Philip, Ingram Barge's CEO, said in a release.  “[His] expertise and leadership in this department continues to make a positive impact.”

Ingram Barge is a subsidiary of Nashville-based Ingram Industries Inc.
