Clayton Associates adds senior advisor

Former HealthTrust chief offers 30-plus years of health care experience

Clayton Associates announced today the addition of Jim Fitzgerald, founder and former president of HealthTrust Purchasing Group, as senior advisor.

Fitzgerald (pictured) led Brentwood-based HPG from its formation in 1999 until his retirement in May 2012 (read more here). He oversaw the financial and operational functions for HPG and also managed the contracting for suppliers, pharmaceuticals and capital equipment, totaling more than $20 billion annually.

Fitzgerald, who will be joining as fellow senior advisor Larry Kloess (a former HCA TriStar president), also once held several positions with HCA. He offers more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry.
