The Noranda Aluminum Holding Corp. Board of Directors has elected Ronald S. Rolfe as a company director. His term will expire at the company’s 2014 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.

The move follows the resignation of board member M. Ali Rashid.

An independent board director as determined by New York Stock Exchange listing standards, Rolfe (pictured) will receive Noranda’s standard compensation arrangements for non-employee board directors. 

Rolfe, a retired partner at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, is currently a member of the Strategic and Audit Committees of Captain Bidco SAS (France) and the Advanced Assessment Systems Inc. Board of Directors.

Noranda is based in Franklin.
