Area home closings continue to improve, up 25 percent for 2012. According to the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors, July saw 2,574 home sales, 27.4 percent more than in July 2011. Also in July, homes sold for an average of $181,250 up from $179,900 in July 2011. Condominium sales did not fare as well for the month, as condos sold for an average of $156,220 in July, compared to $158,000 in the previous year’s same month.
