Sea Gayle Music hires former ASCAP GM

Driskill will run 13-year-old publisher's operations

Sea Gayle Music has hired Marc Driskill as executive vice president and general manager, according to Chris DuBois, the company’s managing partner.

Driskill, who will oversee Sea Gayle Music's operations, previously was ASCAP Nashville's vice president and GM. Founded in 1999, Sea Gayle has had 32 of its songs go to No. 1 and was named ASCAP Country Music Publisher of the Year in 2010 and 2011.

“[Driskill] will be a great asset to me and our company providing leadership and guidance as we continue to establish ourselves as one of the top music publishers in Nashville,” DuBois, whose business partners include Brad Paisley and Frank Rogers, said in a release.

Driskill served ASCAP songwriter and publisher members for more than 10 years and, with his music publishing experience, has been a part of the Nashville music industry almost 14 years. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Academy of Country Music and the Music City Music Council.
