Energy Source Partners adds director of sustainability
Emily Applegate has joined Nashville-based Energy Source Partners as director of sustainability.
Applegate will be responsible for short-and-long-range sustainability planning internally for the solar panel marketer as well as externally for others, including implementation of new strategies and technologies.
“Energy Source Partners is poised for growth, and Emily brings strength in the area of financial modeling as well as a passion for the business of sustainability,” Ron Merville, Energy Source's president and CEO, said in a release.
Applegate focused on sustainability practices while earning her master’s degree in business administration at Vanderbilt University. During this time, she created models to prioritize sustainability services and to incorporate environmental criteria into investment decisions. She also served as a sustainability analyst for Gaylord Entertainment as an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps Fellow.
Applegate began her professional career in the financial services industry serving as a registered associate for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in New York.
