Outpatient surgery center company AmSurg inked a new deal, expanding its Nashville operation at Royal Parkway Center.

The company agreed to terms on a 14,327-square-foot lease space in the airport-area flex development (pictured here) owned by California-based KBS Real Estate Investment Trust.

AmSurg will maintain its Burton Hills headquarters, using the Royal Parkway facility north of Nashville International Airport to accommodate growth.

Dick Fleming and Terry Smith with Cushman & Wakefield|Cornerstone represented AmSurg, while Taylor Hillenmeyer and J.T. Martin at CBRE worked the deal for KBS.

Big Lots adds Gallatin store

Discount retailer Big Lots has signed a 29,000-square-foot lease at Sumner Place in Gallatin. The company will become the largest occupant of the 23-year-old, 47,800-square-foot center.

Charlie Warfield with Brookside Properties Inc. represented the landlord in-house in this direct deal. Ohio-based Big Lots runs more than a dozen stores in the greater Nashville area.
