Local vodka venture broadens network
Start-up vodka distiller Heroes Vodka has signed distribution agreements with a number of companies that will take its bottles into six states.
Heroes was launched in February by former Marine and Presidential Honor Guard Travis McVey. The premium drink has since garnered some national buzz it will now seek to build on by moving beyond Tennessee. Distribution deals with International Wine and Spirits (Alabama and Mississippi), Moon Distributors (Arkansas), Savannah Distributing (Georgia), Bertoline & Sons (New York) and Republic National (Virginia) will take McVey and his team to much of the South and into the country’s largest city.
In a statement, McVey — who worked for Bridgestone from 1994 to 2011 before partnering with R.S. Lipman Co. on Heroes Vodka — said similar distribution deals are in the works for New England and the Pacific Northwest.
