HealthTech adds two

Holding company recruits Allscripts veteran and former employee to help lead subsidiary companies

HealthTech Holdings Inc. has added two industry veterans to two of its subsidiary companies, beefing up its client service effort in one and its sales push in the other.

Stan Gilbreath (left in our picture) will now oversee client services for Healthcare Management Systems and MEDHOST — both health care IT companies and both subsidiaries of Nashville-based HealthTech. Eric Anderton will head the new account sales effort for HMS.

“HMS continues to experience strong demand for our easy-to-use EHR on both our traditional and hosted platforms, and MEDHOST’s EDIS is extending its market leadership,” said Steve Starkey, executive vice president of operations for HealthTech.

Gilbreath has more than 25 years of health care technology experience. Most recently, he led the professional services division for Allscripts. Anderton, a 15-year industry veteran, earlier worked as a regional VP for HMS. He rejoins the company from Mobile, Ala.-based Jackson Key Practice Solutions LLC, a similarly focused EHR company.

HealthTech is also parent to a third subsidiary operating in the same space dubbed Sentry Healthcare Services.
